Choosing a photographer…

It’s a really hard decision! My advice is that I strongly recommend you should choose one that you love the style of and feel they will capture your wedding day reflecting who you are as a couple. You want a photographer that makes you feel relaxed and comfortable infront of the camera, which is one thing I am particularly keen on, especially during bridal preparations in the morning where I prefer to dip in and out of the room so to be respectful that you still embrace time with your family and bridesmaids in the hours before you say ‘I do’.

One the Day…

Throughout the day whilst your guests are enjoying sipping their fizz and nibbling on canapés catching up with old Auntie Maureen and Uncle Bob they haven’t see in years, I try to be as discreet as possible to capture these laughs and natural special moments of your guests enjoying themselves. On my own wedding day I particularly loved these kind of shots as I found it so difficult to speak to everyone, that it was great to look back on the day in a photographic candid style.

Following your ceremony, after you’ve had chance to chat to your guests and relax, I will whisk you away for roughly 20 minutes! This is one of my favourite parts of the day where we go somewhere quiet and discreet giving you time together whilst I take some beautiful, natural photographs of you both in your first few hours of being newly weds.

What to expect from me?

My wedding packages outline exactly what I will cover on your wedding day, depending on which package you choose depends on the hours I stay. Unless your wedding is outside of the North West then I don’t generally charge for any travel expenses.

I aim to carry out a site visit at all of my wedding venues prior to the day, however, if the venue is over 30 minutes drive, this might not be possible but I will make sure I arrive early on your wedding day so I am not going in cold turkey and introduce myself to your wedding co-ordinator and registrar / vicar.

Of course, I also love to meet my couples before their day as well, but again, depending on travel distance this isn’t always possible but I am happy to meet half way if you are further afield or fit it in when I am due to be in the area.

Making a booking…

There is a £100 deposit fee which will secure your day in my diary with final payment due anytime up to 4 weeks before. Once you are all booked with me, I have some Terms & Conditions that I require singing which also may answer some of your questions like: What happens if I am ill on the day!? Or if it snows… Don’t worry, it’s all in there!

About 4-6 weeks before your wedding day, I email out a really useful Questionnaire which requests names, timings, numbers, group photographs, special requests etc. This is extremely helpful to me on the day so I can tailor and personalise your wedding day.

Then from there… we are pretty much ready to go! Although I am sure you will still have lots of last minute jobs on your “to-do list”, but you can rest assure your photographer is “ticked off”!

I would be delighted to be your chosen photographer so please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to know more, or give me a call if you would prefer an old fashioned chat on the telephone.
